The ST is back after 2 1/2 weeks! And my crisp $100 bill as well!! ^_^

They washed the car and vacuumed out the interior too! They did everything I either didn’t have time to do or was too lazy to do. THANK YOU ROUSH!!

Not gonna lie, but not having this car for more than half a month makes me happy to get back into the car, it’ll be like a relatively new experience again.

IIRC, Motor Trend said the 2015 gapless FoST is slower than the previous model years so I’d rather have the hood gap to tell the truth.

It’s only slower on the no-season tires. The new one handles better stock... They have the same drivetrain and weight, so there's no reason one would be faster than the other.

MT said it was a little bit heavier and slower than previous ST’s tested. It did the figure 8 slower with the refreshed one as well.

Haha, yeah stop down some time, just make sure it’s not in December LOL. Besides the fact that it obviously doesn’t see snow... it doesn’t have working heat...and the drivers side window isn’t a huge fan of the whole “up” thing.

When the 2013 Focus ST came out, the range of reported best 0-60 times was 0.6 seconds apart based on who did the testing. All the specs, according to the manufacturer, are identical (weight, tires, engine). There’s no way it could be that much slower in a straight line short of adding a lot of drag.

Let’s see... The 6.3 time is within the original range of tested 0-60 times for the 2013, the better stopping should be identical to the 2014 (same size pads and discs; there’s no way this could get better with a heavier car...in fact, if it gained weight the 2014 should be better there), etc. It’s just a hack of a review... For all we know it was running regular fuel, which will nerf the engine.

You’d take 696W to 275/96 South, sticking with 275 at that split, you’d get off at Ford Road (appropriately).

No, but it needs it to produce the rated power. It’s a pretty dramatic nerf, with dynos showing roughly 15% less hp to the wheels and a much more extreme drop in torque after 3k RPM.

All modern engines do this, not just those with turbos. Many engines gain nothing with higher octane, but if they had particularly awful gas they’d back it down in the same manner.

In any case, you can’t trust the numbers unless you verify that the engine isn’t compensating for fuel.
